Set up remote access from a Windows 10 PC to your Thumbs Up PC

Download/Open Windows 10 Remote Desktop App from the Windows Store

Open the app, click the settings cog wheel near the top right then on the menu then click “add” under gateway settings

Complete the server name as gateway.thumbsupuk.com then click the small “add account” link next to user account (note screenshot shows Santok settings)

Enter your username in the format ThumbsUp\*yourusername* (often firstname.surname)

Enter your network password

Click save when done

This will take you back a screen, click save again

You will now be back on the main page, click on the plus symbol and choose “desktop- connect to a desktop PC”

Under PC name enter your unique PC name, it will be something like name.thumbusp.lan If you don't know this please request it from I.T. by email.

Under user account use the drop down to select the user account you set up before

Click more to extend the settings

You can give the connection a friendly name like “work” (whatever you like) under “display name”

Under Gateway use the dropdown to select gateway.thumbsupuk.com When done it should look something like the below, click save (note screenshot shows Santok settings)

You will now have a connection saved on the left side of the screen, double click to connect and you should then go online.
