How do I exit Datafile?

You must exit datafile following the procedure below every time you finish a session, be that when you leave the office or step away from a remote desktop connection.

Datafile cannot be exited by clicking the “x” in the right hand corner or by re-starting your machine whilst still running Datafile. Although this closes the software from view it does not exit your log in correctly

Not signing out correctly leads to user licences being tied up and the potential for corrupted data. It also means vital system administration cannot be carried out or is delayed.

The only way to exit Datafile is as follows

1. Escape to the main menu
   
   
2. Click “quit” on the bottom left
   
   
   
3. Click “exit datafile” on the next screen
   
   
4. Click “yes” on the next screen
